Grey fur stained with the red peril of what was to become
his last trip.
Bushy tail now limp and useless, and the rain falls in his eyes.
One strong hind leg laid out behind, Surrounded by mortal remains of what made his small and unobtrusive life, whiskers crushed by the oncoming monster, and a pained expression on his cold little face.
Don't look too long in his unseeing eyes, for they tell a morbid tale.
He lies still,
Poor creature, who never had a chance.
